GPICA Hosting Two Informational Meetings on Comp Plan & Land Development Code Changes
By now you've probably heard talk around town about changes that Lee County is proposing to its Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Code. The proposals would make sweeping changes to land and development planning across the county and could result in fewer protections for unique communities — including Pine Island.
What are the Comprehensive Plan, the Pine Island Plan and the Land Development Code? Do you have questions about what's being proposed and the potential impacts to Pine Island?
The GPICA is hosting two informational meetings about the Comp Plan, Pine Island Plan, Land Development Code and the changes to them that were proposed by Lee County. Join us as we walk you through this complicated issue and the implications it has for future growth on Pine Island. We're offering two sessions — a weekday evening and a Saturday morning, to reach as many residents as possible.
The future of Pine Island is at stake, so please get involved!
• When: 6-7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 15; 11 a.m. to Noon, Saturday, Oct. 17
